Common questions
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap Edit then Add Widget, search for TapGoal and pick a size. Touch and hold the widget and choose Edit Widget to filter it to one category or change the order.
The widget shows an old number
iOS refreshes widgets on a budget. Tapping the widget or opening the app updates it immediately. If it stays stale for hours, remove and re-add the widget once. Please tell us if that happens: it is something we want to fix.
I counted by mistake
On the Today screen swipe a row to the start to reset it, then use the 5-second Undo if you change your mind. Touch and hold a row to type an exact value, including 0.
My day rolls over at the wrong time
Settings → Day starts at. Night owls usually pick 02:00 or 04:00 so a late evening still counts toward the same day.
I bought Pro but it is not active
Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still fails, email us the approximate purchase date.
Where is my data? Can I get it out?
On your device. Pro users can export any range as CSV or Excel from the Report tab. Free users keep unlimited history in the app; only the analysis views and export are Pro.
How do I cancel Coach?
Settings → Coach → Manage subscription, or the Subscriptions section of your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the weekly re-plan; the tasks Coach created stay in the app and remain editable.
Health tasks show 0
Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → TapGoal and make sure the metric is allowed. Values update when the app or widget refreshes; the widget may lag a few minutes behind the Health app.
Apple Watch does not show my tasks
The watch receives tasks through iCloud sync, which is part of Pro. Both devices need to be signed in to the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled. Counting on the watch itself is free.
